Frequently asked questions
General Questions
What is AiSensor?
AiSensor is a golf performance system that measures how your body interacts with the ground during the golf swing. Using advanced force-sensing technology and intelligent software, AiSensor helps golfers and coaches understand how movement, balance, pressure, force, and speed work together to produce better shots. Whether you're looking to hit the ball farther, improve consistency, or become a better coach, AiSensor gives you the data to make faster, more confident improvements.
What products does AiSensor offer?
The AiSensor ecosystem includes the AiSensor Force Mat, the AiSensor GRF Insert, the AiSensor high speed data port, and the AiSensor Golf App, which combines synchronized video with force and balance data.
What is the difference between the Force Mat and the GRF Insert?
Both products use the same AiSensor technology to measure Ground Reaction Forces. The Force Mat is a full-size training platform with a larger sensing area. The 3D GRF Insert fits beneath compatible golf mats, making it more portable and cost-effective while delivering the same core force measurements.
Is AiSensor only for elite athletes or professionals?
No. AiSensor is designed for golfers of every skill level, from beginners to Tour professionals. The software presents advanced measurements in an easy-to-understand visual format. Alongside this, AiSensor offers a online education program for free, to make understand the data more understandable to golfers at all levels.
Does AiSensor measure vertical forces?
Yes. AiSensor measures pressure created by vertical force interactions with the ground. This allows golfers and coaches to better understand how force is generated throughout the swing.
What is Center of Pressure (COP)?
Center of Pressure (COP) represents the average location of all pressure and force being applied to the ground during movement. In golf, COP helps visualize balance shifts, weight transfer, and overall movement efficiency throughout the swing.
What are the benefits of force mapping?
Force mapping provides objective data about how pressure and ground reaction forces are created during the golf swing. Since balance and power are generated from the ground up, understanding these forces can help golfers:
- Improve balance and stability
- Generate more efficient power
- Increase consistency
- Identify swing inefficiencies
- Train with measurable data instead of guesswork
Using real-time ground reaction force data is one of the fastest ways to maximize force production and swing performance.
How do I learn to interpret AiSensor data?
Learning AiSensor data is designed to be fast, simple, and engaging. AiSensor offers a free Ground Reaction Force (GRF) course directly on the website to help users understand pressure patterns, force application, and swing mechanics.
You can access the course here: Online Education Portal
Future updates will also allow AiSensor to automatically recommend drills and training exercises based on key force and pressure positions within your golf swing.
Learning & Training
How is AiSensor used in golf?
Players use AiSensor to gain distance, improve consistency, develop better balance, create more efficient movement, and monitor progress. Coaches use it to diagnose swing issues, explain concepts visually, measure improvement objectively, and deliver more engaging lessons.
How can AiSensor increase my teaching capabilities?
AiSensor replaces assumptions with objective measurement. Synchronized video and force data help coaches and individuals identify root causes, personalize instruction, track improvement, and clearly demonstrate movement patterns.
